Presenting an evening with The Mantles - one of our favorite live bands - in what will be their welcome return from an unexpected (and unfortunate) hiatus Saturday, February 11th in the Mission District. The lineup for this year’s annual Memorial Day weekend festival has already been announced, with a mix of bigger-than-usual names and local weird-pop acts headlining shows at the Rickshaw Stop, Hemlock, Cafe Du Nord, and Dolores Park between May 25th and the 29th. Some highlights of this year’s lineup include Seattleite three-piece Seapony, who recently signed with the Subpop label spin-off Hardly Art and will be dropping their debut album Go With Me at month’s end; post-punk punk locals Terry Malts; Virgina duo Eternal Summers; and local (as in me) favorites Dominant Legs and The Mantles.
